Making the Syrup: Place the listed ingredients into a pan, bring to a simmer, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Then, remove from the burner allowing it to reach room temperature fully. Transfer to a sealable bottle, close it and store in the refrigerator, where it will keep for about a month.
For the Premix: Mix the specified liquids in a big jug, let it rest for an hour, then pass it through preferably using a fine cloth, so it's fully clarified.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml of the batch mix into your stirring glass containing ice, gently stirring gently for about 60 seconds until cold. Strain into an chilled martini glass or a similar vessel, decorate with some cranberries and finish by giving it a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the top.
